Capital Bikeshare is metropolitan DC’s bikeshare system, with more than 3,700 bikes available at 440 stations across five jurisdictions: Washington, DC; Arlington, VA; Alexandria, VA; Montgomery County, MD; and Fairfax County, VA. Designed for quick trips with convenience in mind, it’s fun and affordable!
Check out a bike for your trip to work, Metro, run errands, go shopping, or visit friends and family. Join Capital Bikeshare for 24 hours, 3 days, 30 days, or a year, and have access to our fleet of bikes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The first 30 minutes of each trip are free. Each additional 30 minutes incurs an additional fee. Corporate memberships are also available for employers.
Nine stations have been installed, in the North Bethesda area, in the following locations:

Suggest A Station! Capital Bikeshare is looking for suggestions for new station locations. Visit the crowdsourcing map and help add a station to your community!
Free Bikeshare memberships are available, in Montgomery County, for those who meet income eligibility requirements. Qualified individuals also receive free bike safety training, a free helmet and route planning assistance.
Dockless Bikeshare does not rely on fixed bike stations. Customers use a mobile phone app to locate a nearby bike with GPS. When a customer completes a dockless bike trip, the bike is parked on publicly-owned land within a specified geographic area.
